Elementary Student Learns To Give From The Heart

Posted: Updated:

Now to a heartwarming story about a young boy determined to help a friend. He has accomplished something that would be remarkable for anyone, especially someone in elementary school.

David Carnahan is providing more than a shoulder to cry on. Not only is he supporting his friend Jolie Fowler after her father passed away, but he is also raising money for her family.

David Carnahan is trying to help his friend and crush Jolie. Jolie lost her dad two days before Christmas.

Her dad didn't have life insurance, so David has taken it upon himself to raise money for her family. With the help of his mom, David created A profile on gofundme.com and made a video to appeal for donations.

"My goal is to get 1,000 dollars by January 11th," he said in the video.

David's prayers have been answered. He has raised more than 1,100 dollars for his friend's family.

He plans to keep the donation page open until Wednesday. David says this has taught him what it means to give from the heart.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
