ARLINGTON, Va. -

A second water pipe has burst in the baggage claim area at Reagan National Airport on Tuesday.

A hot water pipe broke over Door #5 in the baggage claim area of the airport during the 5 p.m. hour.

Baggage claim areas 3 through 7 were shut off earlier after an interior cold water pipe burst at around 2 p.m. near the bag carousel area. Most of those areas have been reopened after the cleanup.

The airport says no bags were damaged and they were relocated for passengers to claim them.

Officials believe the pipe damage is due to the cold weather.

No flight operations were impacted by the water pipe leaks.
