Lewisville Police seek suspects in attempted child abduction

Posted: Updated:

Authorities with the Lewisville Police Department are searching for suspects in an attempted child abduction.

They say that Wednesday afternoon, a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school in the 300 block of West Corporate Drive when she was approached by two men in an older-model car.

As the car passed, its passenger asked the girl how old she was.

The girl responded that she was "too young for him." The car drove off, but circled back and stopped, where the passenger got out of the car, grabbed the girl's backpack and pulled her toward him.

The driver told the man to get back in the car, and they left.

The passenger is described as about 50 years old, black, around 5-foot-9 and thin. The driver, also black, is described as being around 30 years old.

Both men have dreadlocks and beards, but they didn't have mustaches.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspects is asked to contact the Lewisville Police Department's Tip Line at 972-219-TIPS (8477) or Denton County Crime Stoppers at 800-388-TIPS (8477).
