The rain on top of melting ice on local rivers could spell trouble. It will be heavy at times, and there's even a chance of thunderstorms, the National Weather Service says.

"Rain totals are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 inches. The combination of ice jams and heavy rain runoff could lead to flooding of creeks and rivers in the area," the weather service says.

Flooding due to poor drainage could impact travel on Saturday, and flooding on creeks and rivers might last into Sunday if heavy rain occurs.

Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those who live in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams has more on what we can expect in the video forecast above.
