Suspects in custody after barricade situation in Wittmann

Deputies have taken two men into custody after a man fled from deputies during a traffic stop in Wittmann near Walnut St & U.S. 60.

Officer Chris Hegstrom, a spokesperson for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, tells FOX10 that a deputy tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic stop when the suspect ran from the car into a nearby home.

After barricading himself inside that home, the suspect reportedly fired several shots.  By about 10 p.m. Friday evening both of the suspects from the vehicle were taken into custody.  No deputies suffered any injuries during the incident.
