Two families were left homeless Wednesday morning because of a fire in Crowley, south of Fort Worth.
It happened just after 8 a.m. at the Saint Francis Village retirement center on St. Clare Drive.
When firefighters arrived they saw heavy smoke and flames shooting out of a two-story duplex.
Neighbors said they heard an explosion, but fire officials said that was likely just a car or propane tank in the garage catching fire.
Both sides of the duplex were occupied and everyone inside was able to escape.
They'll have to find another place to live now, though.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
