A second flu-related death was confirmed Wednesday in Collin County, according to the county's chief epidemiologist.
The victim is a Plano woman who was in her 40s. She reportedly had underlying health issues and had gotten a flu shot.
Tuesday, the county's first flu-related death was reported. That victim was a woman in her 50s and also a Plano resident who had underlying health issues.
Denton County reported its fourth flu death of the season on Wednesday.
The victim was a woman in her 30s from the City of Denton and had no underlying conditions. Officials said she did get a flu shot.
Tarrant County has reported five flu-related deaths so far. Dallas still has the highest number of deaths from the flu, at 26.
