NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 26-year-old Manhattan woman crossing the street has died after being hit by an ambulance and another car.

Authorities say Samantha Lee was crossing West 96th Street between Broadway and West End Avenue before dawn Sunday when she was clipped by the driver's side mirror of a passing ambulance. She fell on her face and was fatally hit by a car coming in the opposite direction.

The drivers of the two vehicles remained at the scene - which is the block where Lee lived.

The investigation is ongoing.
