Arlington fire investigators said a Monday morning fire at the old Creative Arts Theatre and School is suspicious.
The fire in the 1100 block of Randoll Mill Road was spotted by a driver about 3 a.m. on Monday. It quickly went to three alarms, due to the size of the 27,000 square foot facility.
Officials said the building was vacant and had no electricity or gas, but it appeared as if someone had been in the building before the fire.
Fire fighters are familiar with this location as there was another three-alarm fire at the same building in July 2012.
The cause of that fire was never determined, but investigators said it started in the stage area.
At the time a non-profit group was days from closing on the sale of the building. That deal fell through and the group relocated.
The building will likely be demolished due to damage from Monday's fire.
