The family of a Pennsylvania marine whose heart was removed during an autopsy at a Greek Hospital and never returned has some new information.

Under questioning from the staff of Senator Pat Toomey, the US Ambassador to Greece Daniel Smith says he repeatedly told the Greek Hospital and government officials not to autopsy the body of Sergeant Brian Laloup after he killed himself on embassy grounds in August 2012.

Despite those warnings, the autopsy was performed anyway. The Laloup family is outraged they buried their son before learning his heart was missing.
