Burleson police are investigating what caused a massive brawl at a pizza restaurant over the weekend.
The fight, which reportedly stemmed from another fight, involved multiple adults, and happened at Peter Piper Pizza in the 1500 block of S.W. Wilshire Blvd. on Saturday about 6 p.m.
Burleson police and firefighters responded to a 911 call about a fight in the dining area of the pizza restaurant, but said no one was transported for medical treatment.
Police said more than two dozen family members were at the restaurant for a young child's birthday party when the fight started.
Police also said there is a second video from inside the restaurant of the first fight, but they have yet to talk to the person who filmed it.
"When officers arrived, the fight was actually over," said Officer Jae Berg with the Burleson Police Department. "There was quite a few people there – just patrons themselves plus the party with family and friends that were involved."
Relatives of one of the young men involved in the original fight that started it all said that a nearby woman was swearing, a young man told her to stop, she hit him, and he body-slammed her onto a table.
Police say someone involved in the original fight has said they want to file charges, and one person was taken to the hospital.
Pizza Properties, Inc., which owns Peter Piper Pizza emailed FOX4 a statement that says in part, "We apologize for the disruption this family disturbance may have caused other customers."
No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
