A police officer testified the man who killed a young boy was barely coherent when he was arrested.
Prosecutors said Walter Chidyausiku was driving drunk in September 2011 when he ran a stop sign and hit a car in Arlington. The crash killed 10-year-old TJ Sauber and injured his mother.
Chidyausiku pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault and now faces sentencing in a Tarrant County courtroom.
He faces up to 20 years in prison. He is also eligible for probation.
