MESQUITE, Texas -

Police need help finding the person who shot a Mesquite teen in the face.

It happened on Jan. 8 at around 11 p.m. as 18-year-old Marisol Bucio was exiting the parking lot at North Mesquite Drive near Town Center Boulevard.

Someone in a passing car fired shots and Bucio was hit in the face.

The teen underwent surgery and is now recovering, but she may have some permanent eye damage.

Police are hoping someone will recognize the suspect's car from surveillance images. It is described as a large four-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac.

Anyone with information should call the Mesquite Police Department at 972-285-6336.

There is a reward of up to $10,000 available for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
