CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A man arrested for a Near North Side burglary Thursday morning may be linked to 19 other Chicago burglaries dating back to August of 2013, police said.

Rodney Burton, 47, was charged with three felony counts of burglary and one felony count of possession of burglary tools, according to a release from Chicago Police.

Following a call of a burglary in progress in the 400 block of West Huron Street about 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 30, police saw Burton exiting the building with a bag in hand, police said. He drove off, but shortly thereafter was stopped by police and taken into custody. Officers found electronics, audio equipment, Blu-ray discs and burglary tools in the bag.

Police said Burton, of the 0-100 block of North Hoyne Avenue, is linked to three active burglary patterns totaling 19 incidents across the city.

He is scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
