Big Cat Brought To Animal Control In Maricopa County

Posted: Updated:

The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control recently received a cat, a really big cat.

His name is meatball and he is 36 pounds. Normal cats should weigh about eight to 10 pounds. The shelter says Meatball is extremely friendly and says he can comfortably walk despite his weight.

The cat is not available for adoption, at least not yet.

Maricopa County Animal Care is currently working on getting him into a rescue organization that helps overweight cats.

The largest cat on record is a 46.8 pound cat from Queensland.
