Bridgegate Subpoenas Expired

Posted: Updated:
Fort Lee, New Jersey (My9NJ) - The deadline for the subpoenas surrounding the ongoing bridgegate scandal expired yesterday at 5:00pm.

During this time the legislatures investigating the incident should have received documents from 18 individuals regarding their knowledge of the lane closures.

At the forefront of this debacle are Governor Christie and former high school friend David Wildstein who came out last week saying that Christie knew all along about the lane closures and he has evidence to prove it.

After these allegations Christie supporters fought back stating that Wildstein has always had poor character and mentioned how at age 16 he even sued over a school board election.

Senator Loretta Weinberg has been leading the charge against Christie and his administration surrounding bridgegate and she spoke out about this whole debacle and the two men’s high school ties.

“I just find all that information very distracting. Mr. Wildstein was tried as the governors ‘eyes and ears of the Port Authority’,” she said.

Weinberg feels like there could be more information that we are missing, especially with the latest information surrounding former U.S. Attorney to Christie, Phillip Kwon. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Kwon coached Bill Baroni, former Deputy Executive Director of the Port Authority, on his whole presentation where he lied to the transportation committee saying this whole scandal was originally about a traffic study and not anything else.

Weinberg feels that the fact that a Port Authority lawyer was involved at all means that more subpoenas could be issued in order to get to the bottom of this whole mess.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
