PHOENIX -

A 25-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly took his 2-year-old daughter with him while he went inside a home to buy heroin.

According to a police report, Anthony Castaneda and his 2-year-old daughter went inside a home near 32nd Street and Indian School Road while 30-year-old Nicolas Wasson sat in a car with Castaneda's 6-year-old daughter.

Castaneda allegedly met Wasson at a nearby McDonald's and agreed to buy $300 worth of heroin for him; Castaneda would get a $20 for setting it up.

When officers pulled Castaneda over for a traffic violation, a police report states they found 24 grams of heroin in a baggy hidden in Wasson's pants, two baggies of suspected tar and powder heroin under around the legs of Castaneda's 6-year-old daughter in the backseat.

Wasson admitted to police to being a heroin addict for about 10 years.

Both Castaneda and Wasson's cell phones will be searched for data evidence of drug activity.

According to police, Castaneda had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and a suspended license.

Castaneda faces charges of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, transporting a narcotic drug, child abuse, electronic communication drug transaction, possession/use of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license.

He's being held on a $2,700 bond.
