Charges dropped against Frisco man who warned drivers of police

Posted: Updated:

Charges have been dropped against a Frisco man accused of violating a city ordinance for holding up a sign warning drivers of police ahead.

A judge dropped the charge against Ron Martin on Wednesday in a court hearing. The judge said it wasn't clear which part of the city's ordinance against human signs was violated.

Martin was arrested in October and police said they warned him on at least two previous occasions about holding signs in the center median of traffic.

Frisco police may re-file the case against Martin with a more defined charge.
