Woman, son killed in Fort Worth house fire

A woman and child were killed in an accidental house fire in Fort Worth on Thursday night.

The fire started at the home in the 900 block of West Bolt Street about 7 p.m. Thursday.

A man who escaped told firefighters his wife and 6-year-old son were still inside.

Some firefighters worked to get flames out, while others went in after the victims.

All three family members were taken to area hospitals. The man suffered non life-threatening burns, but his wife and son did not survive.

Investigators have determined the fire was caused by an electrical problem.

The victims' names have not yet been released.
