Governor Deal continues 'thank you' tour of schools

Posted: Updated:
ALPHARETTA, Ga. -

Governor Nathan Deal made an appearance Friday at Alpharetta High School to say 'thank you' to faculty and staff for their efforts during last week's winter storm.

The visit was the latest of several aimed at congratulating students and teachers for their efforts during the recent winter storm.

As part of the visit, Governor Deal explained to students and faculty how the state plans to handle severe weather situations differently in the future.

Alpharetta students shared something of their own: snowflake cookies, made just for the occasion.
