SMU fans have Mustang fever

Posted: Updated:

Saturday night's big win over Cincinnati has SMU fans hoping for a March Madness run.  The basketball frenzy has reached a fever pitch with SMU students, alumni and local businesses all rallying behind the Mustangs.

SMU hasn't always had the best reputation when it comes to sports, but now the Mustangs are attracting some of the biggest stars in Dallas like; Tony Romo, Jason Garrett and Deion Sanders.

While SMU was favored to win over Cincinnati, no one expected a blow out.

Many credit new Head Coach Larry Brown with turning the team around.

The top 25 NCAA Basketball poll will be released Monday and the Mustangs are expected to be ranked for the first time in 30 years.
