DALLAS -

Dallas police said no suspects were found inside an apartment where a lengthy standoff occurred Friday afternoon.

Two schools in a neighborhood near the Dallas Zoo were on lockdown most of the day due to the police standoff.

A woman called 911 before 11 a.m. to report being assaulted in the 300 block of N. Ewing Avenue.

Officers surrounded the apartment building where they believed a suspect was hiding.

Everyone inside of the building was evacuated. Nearby Hector Garcia Middle School and James Bowie Elementary School were also placed on lockdown.
