The final three home games of the season for SMU men's basketball are sold out, breaking a season sellout record for the program.
SMU made the announcement Friday, capping a historic week for the men's basketball team. The remaining games sold out are: Feb. 19 vs Houston, March 1 vs UCF and March 5 vs. defending national champion Louisville.
SMU will have had seven sold out games by the end of the season, breaking the previous record of five sellouts from the 1984-85 season when SMU was a member of the Southwest Conference.
SMU is undefeated at home this season, 13-0, and 7-0 at the newly-renovated Moody Coliseum.
SMU (19-5, 8-3) has defeated three Top 25 teams this season - Connecticut, Memphis and Cincinnati. All three of the wins were at Moody Coliseum.
The Mustangs are currently No. 23 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, just two days after SMU thrashed then No. 7 Cincinnati, 76-55. It is the first time in nearly three decades the Mustangs have been ranked.
SMU plays at Rutgers on Friday night in a game that was postponed one day to due winter weather on the East Coast.
