Bond set for suspect accused of shooting Dallas Police Officer

The man accused of shooting a Dallas police officer Saturday afternoon is now in the Dallas County Jail.

Rakeem Perkins, 20, has been booked into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center.  His bond has been set at $2 Million.

Officer Joshua Burns was responding to a domestic disturbance at the Regal Springs Apartments in Northeast Dallas when Burns and his partner exchanged gunfire with Perkins.

Burns was shot three times in the leg and shoulder and he is recovering at Baylor Medical Center.
