Six Flags sues Texas Giant maker for defective cars

ARLINGTON, Texas -

Six Flags is suing the maker of the Texas Giant after a death on the roller coaster last summer.

The Arlington theme park claims the cars on the ride are defective and dangerous.

Last year a park visitor was thrown out of her car and died.

Rosie Esparza's family is suing Six Flags and the coaster's maker.

Six Flags said it followed the German maker's recommended operations and maintenance procedures.

The suit does not outline what the park said are defects in the coaster.

Esparza's family is seeking more than $1 million in damages.
