Brooklyn artist's work featured in 'House of Cards'

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Drawings made with soft pastels that look as though they were photographs line the set of the hit Netflix series 'House of Cards. '

The artist behind the amazing pieces is Brooklyn resident Zaria Forman.

"A friend of a friend who is graphic designer on the show loved it (my work) and really wanted to put it on," said Forman.

Using only her fingers and hands, Forman smudges the soft pastels into in her canvas.

Among her most popular pieces is a series about climate change. Forman visited the Maldives which is vulnerable to rising sea levels. She recreated the choppy seas and landscapes to draw attention to the island.

Closer to home, Forman's work can be seen at the following locations:

Comedian Richard Lewis and 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' creator Larry David go way back.  "We went to camp (as kids), hated him, never saw him again. I started at the Improv, no longer here, and he was a fan. I was drinking back then and I said 'I hate you.' We had a fistfight at a bar and we bonded. We love each other and yet we annoy each other," said Lewis. The pair was quite the comedic duo on the hit HBO show.
