International soccer powers Real Madrid and AS Roma will play each other in July at the Cotton Bowl.
The two squads will play on July 29 as part of the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup.
The match is a big win for the City of Dallas, who made the announcement on Thursday from the Cotton Bowl. Recent international soccer matches in North Texas have been played at the home of the Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium.
Despite the match happening just weeks after the conclusion of the 2014 World Cup, a representative of the tournament said quality players should be featured by both teams.
"We expect these teams to play with their strongest roster," said Ben Spencer, Director of Communications of Relevent Sports, the group operating the tournament.
The Guinness International Champions Cup is in its second year and is an eight-team round-robin tournament with matches across the United States. Teams playing in other cities include: Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, A.C. Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Olympiacos.
Tickets for the Cotton Bowl match go on sale on March 5 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
