Police in Corinth are warning parents about a disturbing new drug trend that involves candy.
Officers arrested 20-year-old Marisol Noriega and 23-year-old David Ramos recently for the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Noriega was allegedly selling things like gummy bears, candy bars, hard candies and soda that contained THC, which is the main active chemical compound found in marijuana, police said.
She also had about a ½ pound of marijuana on her at the time, they said.
The police department is now urging parents of young children and teenagers to be mindful of drugs disguised as drinks or candy.
