Northeast Dallas residents still on high alert after 2 arrests

Posted: Updated:

People living in Northeast Dallas remain on high alert after the arrests of two people on February 20 in connection with two of 24 driveway robberies.

People say they are not convinced Charles Hunt, 51 and Santana Andrews, 27, are responsible for all of the driveway robberies.

Fox 4's James Rose spoke with two robbery victims on Saturday.  Neither of them believe Hunt and Andrews are responsible for their attacks.

Chris Kuhner says the man who tried to rob him in the driveway of his White Rock area home looked nothing like the two suspects arrested on Thursday.  "He comes up and he says give me you wallet.  And I said what?  And he pulls out the gun and says give me your wallet now."  Kuhner says he didn't have his wallet with him, so the thief ran away.

Investigators are looking into all of the robberies and believe Hunt and Andrews may have had accomplices.

Police are offering information to crime watch groups in affected areas to spread information.  Crime Stoppers and Oak Farms Dairy are each offering up to $5,000 rewards for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. People can call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS.
