Wednesday was another "oops" moment for a Texas politician.
Republican State Sen. Dan Patrick, a candidate for Lt. Governor, had to delete a tweet where he accidentally supported gay marriage.
Patrick was one of many Republicans in Texas who took to social media in the wake of a judge's ruling that found Texas' gay marriage ban unconstitutional. Republicans around the state condemned the judge's ruling.
But Patrick didn't quite get his tweet to match his beliefs:
"MARRIAGE= ONE MAN & ONE MAN. Enough of these activist judges. FAVORITE if you agree. I know the silent majority out there is with us!"
Patrick, or the person operating his Twitter account, deleted the tweet rather quickly, but not before it spread like wildfire on the internet. Patrick sent out an updated version of the tweet with one man and one woman in it. He also tweeted out the following:
"oops! #twittertypo. We have a new job opening on our campaign: social media intern. Send resume to contact (at) http://danpatrick.org"
