Georgia Highlands College student, Jesse Stroup has Cerebral Palsy. He has always dreamed playing college basketball, but his disability did not allow him to match up to the rest of the players.
After he didn't make the team, Coach and Athletic Director, Phil Gaffney created a spot for him. Stroup would shoot video, dry the hardwood, and keep the score book for the team,
On February 25th, that all changed.
He was able to suit up for the Chargers and play in his first ever college basketball game. He made 3 point shots that scored six points.
Stroup says he is grateful for the opportunity that allowed him to fulfill his dream of playing college basketball.
