Unique guitar stolen at O`Hare returned to Canadian musician

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Canadian musician Harry Manx finally got back his prized possession, which is a Mohan Veena Guitar.

"It's very unique…very much me," said Manx.

It was all thanks to a massive social media push.

5.4 million people have now seen his post on Facebook after his guitar was stolen.

"People seem to care about artists losing their instruments, I'm seeing that now. Because everyone knows someone that has one," Manx said.

Manx had his unique guitar stolen last month from the baggage claim at O'Hare Airport. Within days, he said Chicago Police saw a man that fit the suspect's description.

Fifty-nine-year-old Anthony Hargrove is being held on $250,000 bond for four charges of felony theft. Police believe he had stolen the guitar and three other bags within a few days.

"I'm hoping that now that they've taken this guy off the street, maybe those numbers will come down a little bit. I wouldn't want other folks to lose their luggage, like I did," said Manx.

Manx has been playing this guitar for twenty years. A craft he learned while living in India for more than a decade.

"Yeah, man! This ain't goin' nowhere! Ah! This ain't goin' nowhere now," Manx added.

Playing guitar is a strong part of Manx's history, and now it will be even stronger in his future.
