North Texas man gets 25 years in meth ring case

Posted: Updated:

A North Texas man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for running drugs as part of a methamphetamine ring involving dozens of distributors.

Prosecutors say 27-year-old David Calandreli of Wichita Falls in November pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine.

Investigators say suppliers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area provided the meth for sale in the Wichita Falls area.

Prosecutors say Calandreli, who was sentenced Monday, transported and distributing methamphetamine obtained from Steve Ysasaga of Arlington. Ysasaga last month was sentenced to 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to his role in the case.

Calandreli is the 38th person to be sentenced after pleading guilty in the North Texas meth ring investigation.
