Young aviator on mission to raise funds for military children

Posted: Updated:

A big mission for a valley kid at just 12 years old and already the owner of a pilot's license. He says he is living his dream and now he's helping others do the same.

"I think I had just a passion for it and I really wanted to try it so once I tried it I really liked it," said John Chandler Dischler Negrete.

12 year old Chandler has been soaring to new heights since he was 8. Now he wants to help other kids make their dreams come true.

"I'm going to fly to Payson from Deer Valley to Cottonwood to Prescott and back to Deer Valley it's for www.ourmilitarykids.org, they support men and women that have children in the United States that don't have enough money to do after school sports like piano and gymnastics," said Chandler.

A humble mission all in preparation for a bigger trip across the country.

Obviously Chandler can't drive a car yet and he only flies with an adult in the plane with him.
