Dallas Life Homeless Shelter reopened its renovated state-of-the-art medical, dental and vision clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
The shelter is located at the southwest corner of Griffin and Cadiz streets. The $230,000 project began last fall through the efforts of a private donor.
The renovated clinic features a lobby, three dental examination rooms, one medical examination room, one vision examination room, and a lab.
The clinic also features high-end furnishings, wireless X-ray machines, and the latest computer technology. Dallas Life also remodeled its kitchen and dining areas at a cost of $400,000.
Dallas Live is North Texas' largest homeless shelter, housing up to 700 residents.
