Police say an Anne Arundel County school was damaged after deer ran into the building while they were being chased by dogs.

The incident happened at Southern Middle School in Lothian, Md. over the weekend.

Officers say they responded to a burglar alarm at the school and found three deer either injured or dead. Two dogs, a German shepherd and a Labrador, were found running in the area.

Video from the school's surveillance cameras show the deer running through the glass panels of the building's doors.

Classes were canceled Monday so crews could clean up broken glass and other damage.

The injured deer were euthanized.

Damage estimates are between $3,000 to $5,000.
