Police have arrested two suspects in connection to a recent theft from a sorority's headquarters office in Arlington.
Carla Rae Seals, 42, and her husband, Mark Jason Stroface, 41, were arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing around 2,000 Tri Delta sorority badges.
Both have been charged with theft of more than $200,000.
Seals is an employee at the headquarters, but is currently on leave without pay. She is not a member of the sorority.
Police say fingerprints found at the crime scene came back to Stroface.
The missing badges were being stored at the sorority's headquarters. They have precious stones in them, and are believed to worth around $400,000.
"Our number one priority is to retrieve our beloved badges, and to put security measures in place to ensure that nothing like this ever happens again," said Diana Crawford, chief operations officer for Tri Delta in an email to FOX 4. "We anxiously await the results of the search being conducted by the authorities. At the same time, we are deeply saddened to learn that the theft may have involved one of our own staff members. Our gratitude goes out to the Arlington Police Department for their continued diligence and hard work in resolving this matter quickly."
