'Nymphomaniac' premieres in New York

MYFOXNY.COM -

"Nymphomaniac Part 1" is not rated and let's just say we had a hard time finding moments from the trailer that we could show you on television. I was at the red carpet premiere and talked with the film's 22-year-old star who bares all.

Lars Von Trier's dark fantasies run wild again in "Nymphomaniac," an explicit two-part feature that's heavy on lovemaking but light on real love.

"He called me and said my next film will be a porno film and I want you to play the lead in it," Stellan Skarsgard said.

Christian Slater keeps his clothes on but he's in the minority. In her third collaboration with the Danish director, Charlotte Gainsbourg plays a self-destructive sex addict named Joe.

Stacy Martin plays a younger Gainsbourg in the film and reveals Joe's erotic experiences in a series of flashbacks. One encounter involves a macho, moped riding Shia LaBeouf with a flaky cockney accent.

Martin chose quite the introduction for her very first film role. Unlike other coming of age stories, "Nymphomaniac" features real sex scenes, which blended shots of the film's actors, pornographic actors, and prosthetics.

I wouldn't recommend taking your parents to this movie unless you're in the film like Stacy Martin. But if you can stomach some unsavory sex scenes and Von Trier's cerebral brand of storytelling, the film does offer some brutally honest, universal truths about love and intimacy. I'd skip the theatre and watch it on demand.

The NYPD is investigating another apparent choke-hold incident during a recent arrest that was captured on video. The video shows a police officer putting a man in a choke hold and then punching him in the face in a subway station in Harlem, police said. A community activist said he received the new video but never had any intention of releasing it to the media.

Six people were indicted Wednesday in an international ring that managed to take over more than 1,000 StubHub users' accounts and fraudulently buy tickets to such prime events as Jay-Z and Elton John concerts, a New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game and Broadway shows like "The Book of Mormon," the Manhattan district attorney said. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. said the thieves would then resell the tickets and split up the proceeds.
