Umbrellas, Ponchos and of course, lots of green on Lower Greenville on Saturday for the 35th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.
Severe weather held off for the morning, but storms soaked the crowds this afternoon. Despite the threat of severe weather, the spirit of Lower Greenville's St. Patty's Day party was like any other. Some people came prepared for the wet weather, some didn't. Others, didn't seem to care.
Dallas Police were ready for any event, but because of the weather, they decided to open Greenville Avenue two hours early, using the very popular mounted patrol. Police say they didn't have any problems at the event.
There were contingency plans because of the bad weather, but those plans were not put into action. The event, however was shut down early because of the weather.
