Hometown Hero: Children's Cancer Fund Luncheon participants

Posted: Updated:

This year will mark the 26th year that children will soon walk the runway to raise money to fight cancer as part of the Children's Cancer Fund Luncheon.

Nearly 40 children who are fighting cancer or who are in remission will be escorted down the runway at the Hilton Anatole Hotel by Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, actresses, actors, a prima ballerina and more.

It's a day of fun for children who have had to go through the rigors of chemo and cancer treatment. This year's theme in Hollywood, and the money raised will go to research to fight childhood cancers at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.

Hall of Fame former Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman will once again serve as the event's honorary co-chairs.

The kids get to select an outfit and accessories from Dillard's they'll get to keep.

To buy a ticket, call 972-664-1450 or log on to www.childrenscancerfund.com.
