A TRE train killed a person who was on the tracks in Dallas Tuesday morning.

It happened at about 11 a.m. as the westbound train was crossing Medical Center Boulevard.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit spokesman Mark Ball said the person was trespassing in the TRE right of way and was hit by the train.

The person was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

DART brought in buses to help transport people between Medical Market, Victory and Union Station while the accident was investigated.

Regular service has since resumed.
