FOX 4 has learned of new activity in the federal investigation of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.
Sources connected to the case say recent grand jury subpoenas went out to associates of Price and his longtime assistant, Daphne Fain.
That is standard in cases where the government is preparing to seek an indictment.
The feds are looking for evidence of bribery, fraud, theft and tax evasion.
Price and Fain have denied wrongdoing, and Price has been fighting to get back hundreds of thousands of dollars the FBI seized from his home.
So far, there have been no charges against Price or anyone else in the investigation.
