We'll start the morning off with temps in the upper 50s and low 60s, but that's as warm as it will get... temps will slowly fall as the day rolls on. A few lucky spots southeast of the Metroplex will be out ahead of the cold front and you'll see temps warm up into the low 70s before the front gets through this evening and temps cool down into the 40s.
On and off drizzle all weekend long with little to no sunshine, with the possibility of a rumble of thunder southeast of the MPLEX where temps will get a little warmer and moisture is a little more prevalent.
Will this help with the drought? Well, it won't hurt, but it won't be a drought-buster. The few areas that are lucky enough to see rain will likely get less than half of an inch by the time this is all said and done.
