Dallas Police work on crime prevention at public event

DALLAS -

Saturday's "Chief on the Beat" event in the Pleasant Grove area was all about crime prevention and health.

The health and safety fair was hosted by the Dallas Police Department's Office of Community Affairs and the Southeast Patrol Division at Samuel High School.

Police Chief David Brown, Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins and close to 70 organizations took part in the event.

"Chief of the Beat" Events take place throughout the year and are free and open to the public.
