Facebook Alerts Users Who Share Posts Publicly

Posted: Updated:

Oversharing on social media can be annoying and it looks like Facebook may agree. The company is now alerting users who share all their posts publicly. They are getting a notification that reads, "Sorry to interrupt. You haven't changed who can see your posts lately, so we just wanted to make sure you're sharing this post with the right audience."

You can click "learn more" and facebook tells you all about your "sharing" options. This may also be an attempt to clarify what some users believe are complicated privacy settings.
