Bomb threat written in Liberty H.S bathroom

Posted: Updated:
PEORIA, Ariz. -

A bomb threat was reportedly written in the bathroom of a valley high school.

Parents and students received a message from the administration about a bomb threat made against Liberty High School in Peoria.

The father of a student, who did not want to be identified, called FOX 10 to report the threat.

Here is the message he received from school officials:

"This is a message from the Peoria Unified School District. We were recently made aware of a threat through social media against the Liberty High School campus rumored for tomorrow.  Though we feel the potential for real danger is unlikely, we're taking appropriate measures to ensure the safety of all students and staff including contacting the Peoria Police Department.  All classes are taking place at Liberty High School as scheduled. We are committed to providing the safest possible learning environment for our students. If additional details develop we'll keep you informed. When speaking to your student tonight, if you receive additional details related to this incident, we ask that you contact the schools administration office."

There were reports of the message in the bathroom being posted in a picture on Twitter, but we have not been able to find that picture.

The threat was expected to happen at 11:30 a.m., but nothing happened.

It's being considered a hoax.
