Frustrated dad moves daughter's stuff outside

Posted: Updated:

A man in Georgia was fed up with his daughter's dirty bedroom so he moved her stuff out of the house.

Craig Schlichenmeyer moved his daughter's bed, desk, computer and more outside. He put up a sign that said, "Haley, room moved to driveway… clean it next time."

He said constant pleas for the 17-year-old honors student to clean her room fell on deaf ears.

"One day I had enough of it and I just picked up her belongings and I just set her room up in the driveway," he said.

Schlichenmeyer said his intention was not to publicly humiliate his daughter.

"No, my intention was just to surprise her a little bit and let her know that we were serious about taking ownership and pride in her room and, you know, doing the right thing. When we tell her to clean it up, you clean it up," he said.
