Braves step up technology at Turner Field

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA, Ga. -

The Atlanta Braves home opener is Tuesday, April 8. Braves fans will be happy to know that Turner Field is keeping up with the latest technology.

In case you didn't know, you can use your smartphone as your ticket.  Parents can even put their kid's tickets on their smartphone, too.

When you buy your tickets online or use your device, you can have the tickets sent to your phone. The ticket will then be scanned at the gate. Don't worry if your battery is running low. This year there will also be new charging stations around Turner Field.

For those wanting more information on Braves tickets, they have an app for that. The MLB.com "At the Ballpark" app allows you to upgrade your seats without going to the box office. Your new tickets will be sent to your device. The app is free and available for both Android and Apple smartphones. People who have iPhones with Bluetooth will also receive a special message from the Braves as they approach the stadium.

And with all these apps, you don't have to worry about your smartphone data.  Turner Field has Wi-Fi, so you can just use the stadium's Wi-Fi connection.
