Suspect arrested in UT Arlington fondling incident

ARLINGTON, Texas -

University of Arlington police have arrested a man who they said sexually assaulted at least three women in the library.

According to a press release, a female student reported a man approached her Friday while she was on the fourth floor in the Central Library.

She said he placed his hands inside her shirt and touched her chest. When she tried to leave, she said he pushed her up against some book stacks.

She was able to get away and flag down officers, who located and arrested the suspect.

His name was not released, but police described him as a 23-year-old dark-skinned Indian male who is a student.

He will face charges for offensive/provocative contact.

Two other women came forward on Friday to report similar incidents.  

Additional victims are now encouraged to contact the campus police department.
