Dallas Fire Rescue rescues stranded crane operator

Firefighters in Dallas rescued a stranded crane operator Wednesday just after 5:30 p.m. at a construction site in the vicinity of Skillman Street and Lovers Lane.

The crane operator reportedly suffered an injury while doing heavy lifting inside the crane. He was on a platform underneath the cab of the crane when firefighters reached him at 120 feet above ground.

Members of Dallas Fire Rescue's Urban Search and Rescue team who were on site train specifically for challenging, high angle rescues.
